We have stayed in lots of huts and this was by far the best one! Beautiful peaceful location, cosy with underfloor heating, spacious, great shower, comfy bed, just fabulous. They even provided a travel cot which fit in our bedroom for our little 4 month old baby. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful break.

We came here after stopping the night in Aberdeen and this was a half way point back to our home in Staffordshire. We had such a bad experience in our Air B&B in Aberdeen and to turn up at this location and be greeted with what we arrived to was just so lovely. The huts were absolutely spotless, with everything you need even down to fresh ground coffee and milk in the fridge! We cooked our dinner on the open fire stove outside and enjoyed a relaxing sun set with a glass of wine in the wood fired hot tub. The best thing was our nights sleep! After a very restless night in Aberdeen we slept like logs at this location! There was absolutely no noise and no light pollution and the bed was 10/10. Honestly I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s absolutely beautiful and very well thought out. Simplicity at its best! This place is just a reminder that you don’t need lavish hotels to unwind, just being with Mother Nature itself is enough to recharge the natural senses! Thank you Lyn & Simon!

Beautiful huts! Everything was lovely! Couldn’t fault it at all. Lyn and Simon were lovely helped when ever we needed it. The bed was soo comfy! Everything was clean and the hot tub was perfect! We will deffo be back and would recommend anyone to stay! X

Fantastic little spot to stay! So relaxing and refreshing! Everything was brand new and very modern! The hot tub was fantastic, as it was log fired it stayed lovely & hot the whole time we used it. We also had access to a bbq which was great! The couple that own these huts went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. They were so lovely and welcoming! We will definitely be back again!

A Magical Escape in the Pentland Hills. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the setting, these shepherd huts are truly magical. Tucked into stunning countryside, with mountains and wildlife all around, it felt like stepping into another world. The hut itself was beautifully designed, cosy, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel warmly welcomed. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly prepared for guests. The highlight for us was the private hot tub, under the open sky, surrounded by peaceful hills, was absolute bliss. It made the stay feel even more special and unforgettable.

Just home from an amazing weekend at Pentland Shepherd Huts. Lyn & Simon really have thought of everything. On arrival we were met by Lyn & Simon who showed us round and showed us how to work the hot tub. The Shepherd Huts are very well equipped and so spacious. The huts are so cosy and beautifully decorated to an extremely high standard. Sitting in the hot tub in the evening with a drink and a beautiful view of the Pentland hills watching the sun set, what more could you want. The king size bed was so comfortable and we both had great nights sleep. Lyn was very knowledgeable about local dog walks and where would be good to go for a spot of lunch. The WiFi is great and we were able to watch Netflix. Thank you both so much. We will definitely be back.

We spent just one night in the Connemara hut at Pentlands Shepherds Huts, but it left a lasting impression. The hut was warm, inviting, and incredibly comfortable, perfect for a short countryside escape. Everything inside felt thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to settle in right away. The highlight of our stay was definitely the wood-fired hot tub. Even with only one night to enjoy it, it added something really special to the experience. Special thanks to Lyn and Simon for creating such a lovely space and for their warm hospitality.

Great hosts, amazing welcoming, I thank Simon for taking time to show us the beautiful animals. The place is a slice of heaven! The peaceful farm and our evenings stargazing from the incredible hot tub. It was the perfect blend of rustic charm and pure relaxation. The ultimate recharge for the soul. We can't wait to return.

The perfect getaway! Such a beautiful place to stay, surrounded by horses and beautiful landscapes. The shepherds hut was cosy, clean and had everything we needed to hand which made us feel right at home. Lyn was a great host! So friendly and gave great recommendations of places to visit. We had the best time staying in this gorgeous little shepherd’s hut! It’s tucked away in the countryside, so peaceful and surrounded by nature. The hut was super cosy, really clean, and had everything we needed for a comfy stay. Our dog absolutely loved it — plenty of space to run around and lots of new friends to meet! The horses, pony’s and goats were such a highlight, all so friendly and fun to watch. The kids loved sitting by the fire pit, roasting marshmallows, and watching the stars. It was so calm and relaxing, exactly what we needed. The hosts were lovely too — really welcoming and helpful, but also gave us our space to just enjoy the stay. If you’re after a chilled-out countryside escape where your dog is welcome and you can properly switch off, this place is perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

By far the best accommodation we had on our trip through Scotland! Everything was just right here... the location, the decor... absolute attention to detail and incredibly well thought out and furnished. Everything you need was available and the beautiful quiet location was an absolute highlight. It is only about 20 minutes by car to Edinburgh, so you can also get a bit of city flair in the immediate vicinity. Lyn is very sweet and extremely courteous, communication worked absolutely flawlessly. We were sometimes the first guests to test this fabulous accommodation and can really recommend it! Also no problem with a large dog, by the way 👏🏻🤩
